With a walk in to Gimmer at 1 hour and Raven Crag at just 15 minutes, you can have a day of your choosing. These are the perfect places to experience just how good it can be on clean grippy rock. You will be moving on rock for most of the day from scrambling along The Climbers Traverse and Threading the Needle to the magnificent climb of Needle Ridge. Finishing off with an ascent of Westmoorland Crags to top out on the summit of Great Gable. Enjoy the views down the Wasdale valley throughout the day whilst climbing on excellent rock in superb surroundings. The walk in for this is about an hour and a half and no climbing experience is needed. This is a full mountain day for those who love to be on the go.

Gillercombe Buttress is one of the longest climbs in the Lake District and also one of the most easily accessible mountain crags. It catches the sun (and wind) for most of the day and has some fantastic pitches that weave around the whole crag. Enjoy fantastically grippy rock and views into The Hidden Valley throughout the day as you ascend this Lake District rock climbing classic line. The walk in for this is around one hour and is easily achievable for those who have not climbed before, or those seeking to tick off the classic rock routes.

The Big Atmosphere Feeling
Dow Crag is home to some of the most stunning lines in the southern Lake District with a contrast of buttresses towering over Goats Water there is a wide variety of climbs here for all your rock climbing needs. With routes up to 100m long and with up to 7 pitches of climbing this is a fantastic day out in the Lake District mountains, in a venue with a big atmospheric feeling. The walk in is just over one hour from the Walna Scar road, and we recommend that you have had some climbing experience previously to feel at home in the mountain setting.

A Day To Remember
The Langdale valley offers some of the best scrambling to be found in the Lake District and offers a huge amount of choice for all abilities. The link up of Tarn Crags, Jack's Rake and Harrison Stickle is just some of the brilliant scrambling on offer. Progress from basic movement to time on the rope by the end of the day as you move on through the scrambling grades. This is perfect for those who want to explore this popular valley on the path less trodden. The approach to the scramble takes around half an hour so you will be on rock very early in the day. You will be moving around on rock up to grade 3 with a rope and this is suitable for beginners under the excellent guidance of one of our guides.

Alpine Movement Day
Pinnacle Ridge on St Sunday Crag is one of the most iconic scrambles in the Lake District. With continued movement on grade 3 ground on steep blocks and knife-edge ridges as you ascend this alpine style scramble. Brilliant photo opportunities are frequent on this scramble as you rope up for the 150m classic. As you ascend the pinnacles you will experience great views down Grisedale Valley and over to Helvellyn. This is the perfect scramble for those wanting to know what alpine movement is like. We summit St Sunday Crag 841m to finish off our day. The approach is roughly around one hour, and we are on grade 3 ground roped up from the start of the day.

The Beginner Scrambler
Cam Crag ridge offers all weather options for scrambling in the Lake District, with a variety of route choices whilst you ascend up the 200m scramble. The buttress and ridge give amazing scrambling on clean rock at grade 3, however all the difficulties can be avoided or attacked depending on how you feel. This a great scramble for those who wish to learn along the way and take in the great views of the Langstrath valley in Borrowdale. The approach to this scramble is about an hour and a half and is suitable for beginners.
