Pinnacle Ridge on St Sunday Crag is one of the most iconic scrambles in the Lake District. With continued movement on grade 3 ground cross steep blocks and knife-edge ridges as you ascend this alpine style scramble. You'll experience unbroken scrambling movement as you climb and traverse the famous pinnacles.
Brilliant photo opportunities are frequent on this scramble as you rope up for the 150m classic. As you ascend the pinnacles you will experience great views down Grisedale Valley and over to Helvellyn. This is the perfect scramble for those wanting to know what alpine movement is like. We summit St Sunday Crag 841m to finish off our day.
The approach is roughly around one hour, and we are on grade 3 ground roped for all of the climb.
