Accessible from either Wasdale or Borrowdale. Scafell Pike is the highest point in England and a Classic mountain with views across the Lake District and Cumbria.
Explore the rough and broken terrain with river crossings, boulders and shattered rocks on this 6-10mile day in the mountains.
The average time up and down is four and a half hours with some time away from well-defined paths. There is a small amount of difficulty on this route but is achievable for those with no experience.
Want to do something unique. Ask us about our explorer package, where we aim to tackle the mountain avoiding major footpaths and tackling routes less trodden.
